New Committee Members Needed

Newly retired? Have lots of business experience? Got lots of enthusiasm but nowhere to channel it? Then why not join your FHRA committee? We are a group of people committed to making life at Fairfield Hall as good as possible, sorting out problems and trying to address the difficult issues we currently face. We would love to see more people on our committee, and you don't have to wait until the AGM to join. As the old saying goes, 'many hands make light work' - so the more of us there are, the less onorous the job becomes. Please phone Anne Ellis on 07738 369486 for details. We'd love to have you on board!

Luxury B&B in Ramsgate

Newly refurbished rooms have been designed and individually styled with guests in mind, including king size beds, luxury en-suites, feather & down bedding and of course LCD TVs and drinks facilities. Any Fairfield Hall resident who books a minimum 2 night stay will receive a 10% discount! Check the website or call Mike on 01843 59 56 59 to book

PJL Planning Application

Monday 2 August - Just a reminder to residents that the deadline for comments on PJL's latest application in regard to the West Orchard is due by 6 August 2010. Please see the information in the Planning section of the website for details on how to do so.

Theft and Intruders at Hall

Thursday 22nd July - We've heard from a resident of Bedford Wing that some parts were stolen from his Motorbike sometime during Friday night. If you remember seeing anything suspicious please contact a committee member. Please also be extra vigilant when walking about the Hall and report anything suspicious to the Police.

This week another resident has informed us that they came across 4 teenagers running around in the East Wing after gaining access by tailgating someone into the building. PLEASE make sure that you don't let people in behind you and that when you enter the Hall, that the door completely closes behind you.

Happy 150th Three Counties Asylum

On March 8th 1860 the doors were opened at the Three Counties Asylum and the first 12 patients entered their new home, 6 male and 6 females were transferred from the old Bedford asylum.

Richard, who runs the Three Counties Asylum website is organising a celebration of this historic event on June the 20th at the Stotfold Memorial Hall with our Fairfield Hospital Celebration Day, please visit the website www.threecountiesasylum.co.uk  for more details.

What else do you
want to see?

We know a website is only as good as the information that's on it, so that's where you can help.

Your committee will post articles about the day to day activities and challenges facing the Hall, but if there's anything else you want to see, please contact us.
